Hi ya’ll! I am so glad y’all are here!
My name is Sophia White, I am a wife, mother, and Bible believing Christian. I have been abundantly blessed with three daughters within three years, including a set of fraternal twins!
Originally, my husband and I are from both Charleston, SC, we are born and raised southerners! The south eastern United States truly does have our hearts. But, the Lord has had other plans for us in this season of life.
My husband is a United States Marine and we are stationed in Southern California. Not the place we would have chosen, but God always knows better than we do. God has blessed us with community and given us a season of learning.
Being in California has allowed me to develop my skills as a homemaker and cook. I have also been bittern by the homesteading bug!
What a gift that God has built in time for me to develop and steward helpful skills I hope to use later in life. Lord willing there will be a season when have land, a garden, and livestock! Accepting this transitional period, with no real end in sight, is hard, but the Holy Spirit gives peace in all circumstances that surpasses all understanding.
Some skills I’m developing here and now, include, gardening, preserving the abundance, cooking from scratch, and falling in love with natures seasons. The United States is full of over consumption and demands everything be available at all times of year. I am learning to eat with the seasons and treasure those things that are best in their season. I can better appreciate the first of something when there is a last of something.
God is growing appreciation in me instead of anxiety. Instead of worrying about the last being the last I can trust that there is a first ahead that is worth waiting for in His Spirit.
